chance encounter with a mysterious stranger on a train
As the train rumbled down the tracks southbound, my camera caught a glimpse of a mysterious stranger - large dark Halston sunglasses (very 1960's, very Jackie O) and red ear buds helped to block out the world passing by.

I hope I am the first to wish you a happy National Poetry Day. I know you are saying how did he know today was the big day? The Poetry Society's 14th annual National Poetry Day celebrates the theme, Dreams. This is a chance to be poetic for the day, to explore the theme of dreams, to appreciate works inspired by dreams and even create your own poetry about dreams. My photograph and the poem I chose are in the filmwasters.com Dream collaboration where the participants explored and interpreted a poem in visual form.
I had two photos that I choose poems to go with, this is the one I did not submit to filmwasters:

I could not resist another baseball photograph for today. Several years ago our family made a trip to Chicago to see a Cards - Cubs game. Many happy memories of a very fun trip. This year finds the Cubbies in postseason play.

It is the end of the baseball season. My 2006 World Champion Cardinals are not in postseason play this year. This photo is from October, 2005 - World Toy Camera Day. My family walked around old Busch Stadium before they tore it down to make way for building new Busch. Now the new season (playoffs and World Series) begins - enjoy the few remaining games left this year.
